Maturity-Onset Diabetes of the Young (MODY)
Presentation :
Pathophysiology :
- Although insulin action remains normal in MODY, glucose sensing and insulin secretion are altered.
- Caused by autosomal dominant monogenetic defect on different chromosomal loci. MODY has at least 14 known gene mutations
- Autoantibodies are typically absent.
