Typhus Fevers
- A group of infectious diseases caused by bacteria (of the family Rickettsiaceae) that are spread to humans by arthropod vectors:
- Scrub typhus: Spread by chiggers
- Murine (Endemic) Typhus: Spread by fleas
- Epidemic Typhus: Spread by body lice
- The most common symptoms are fever, headaches, and sometimes rash.
